Hillsong United 는 Hillsong Church 라는 유명한 교회의 youth ministry에 속한 4개의 연령별 소그룹이 함께 모였을 때에 스스로를 지칭하던 이름이었다.
1998년 본격적으로 독립적인 선교팀으로 재탄생, 매년 음반을 발표하고 세계순회연주도 갖는 등 활발한 활동을 펼치고 있는 밴드.
2006년에 이어 올해에도 내한공연을 했다고 하는데, 무길도한량이 이들의 목소리로 듣길 좋아하는 'Hosanna' 도 불렀는지 모르겠다.
